| The mission of Lymphland is to make a positive difference in the lives of those affected with lymphedema and any other health conditions through a personal relationship with members assisting them in achieving their highest possible treatment potential and goals and help them become confident individuals. We provide caring and supportive through our committed volunteers. Our goal is to achieve adequate healthcare including therapy, educating doctors, and information of all kinds through our support group organization. We provide social interaction among members, teamwork in focusing on advocacy and awareness, and we allow each other to learn from eachchallenge and continue to improve on a daily basis. Our site is intended for anyone patients, therapists, doctors, public who wish to know more about lymphedema. OUR POLICIES We provide information of all nature concerning lymphedema on our site. I am not a doctor, just a very knowledgeable patient. Most of our information on lymphland is credited to other sources or links. We do have medical professionals such as Dr. Chikly, who submit information and that is credited to him. We credit all information with a source, any information you see that does not have a source or link was submitted to us by a member of our support group part of the website. If you know where it came from, please do let us know and we will credit to the correct source. Our website is geared to patients, therapists, doctors, caregivers, health professionals, and the public. Our goal and mission is to educate all, along with providing individual help to those in need. We respect the wishes of anyone who contributes to our website and we do ask permission to print information when a source is known and will remove information if a source does not want it listed on our site. ADVERTISING POLICY We do not allow blatant advertising on the site. We do allow some linking exchanges which those links are listed in our misc. links page. Our members who have websites that sell items are listed in members websites section of the site. We may post information regarding pumps, manufacturers, etc but we do not sell any materials nor do we allow companies to contact individuals within our support group. We respect the privacy of all individuals. Information on our website is meant to complement and not replace your doctors advice. Since many doctors are not knowledgeable about lymphedema, you may see information on my site that is different from what your doctor has told you. In the event that happens, please contact me for a list of lymphedema specialists that you can take to your doctor to get a referral to go see. We are advocating to medical schools and our legislatures to make lymphedema training mandatory curriculum for all medical professionals. PRIVACY POLICY Although our website does involve cookies in various parts such as the chatroom, no personal information is collected or used for any purposes. We respect the privacy of our visitors and take spamming and violations seriously. Our chatroom does require java cookies to function.
