I did my Master's thesis on lymphedema, after I had met an occupational therapist who treated individuals who had lymphedema. I planned on becoming a certified therapist as soon as I could after graduating Where did you study and how long? I became a certified lymphedema therapist from the Academy of Lymphatic Studies, based in Sebastian, Fl. In addition to taking the certification course, I have taken several other lymphedema courses including training in facial and genital lymphedema How long have you been practicing? I have been an occupational therapist for 6 years, I have been a certified lymphedema therapist for 4 years. Do you have other areas of expertise? I am also a certified hand therapist (CHT). What insurances do you take? Do you offer any fee reductions for cash clients? We take medicare, private, managed care plans, tricare. We offer a 30% discount for cash clients |
