| I have lymphedema-so I've been told Doctors took over two years-I was on hold My parts can swell up to four times their size An acheivement like that should win me a prize I can get a massage and now it's free The drawback is it's done by only me The lotion put on now softens my skin The leftover part is willed to my kin I have to bandage-that' s next on the list There are no cuts though-they do not exist Some of the bandages I make at home The velcro can grag you-but not the foam I have compression shorts I get to wear They're cheap-just five hundred dollars a pair What the heck they're a cool fashion statement People just stare at a cross-dressing gent I wash them each night and hang them to dry I know they miss me by the way they cry I sleep with my legs high up in the air To sleepwalk I use my hands on the stair I take horsechestnut and bromelian pills They both seem to help but give me the chills To tell you the truth my swelling is down Only because of the angel I found Sarah my therapist showed me the way Maybe she'll see me the following May. |
