thank-you Lynne Mason
FYI We are told the orphanages try to help the most number of  kids they can and have to make difficult
decisions when one child needs a lot of funds for their treatment.

"Anita" needs an adoptive family. This lovely baby girl was born August 2010 in Southeast Asia and so is
just about a year old. This is an emergency adoption as we have 30 days to find her a family. The orphanage
requires that she be adopted quickly so she can receive the further medical treatment she needs and to
prevent possible amputation of her arm. She has issues with her lymph system. There is a lump on her left
side affecting her left arm. She recovered well from the first surgery. A family wanted to adopt her but were
unable to complete the adoption due to circumstances beyond their control. There is no fee or obligation to
receive her whole file with photos and medical information including MRI, x-rays, surgery report etc.

She has a beautiful round face and a million dollar reciprocal smile and seems a little puzzled if you do not
smile back at her. Her visual and auditory regard is at par with her peers. She communicates with the staff
and caretakers with loud gurgles and changes her tone if she is frustrated. She is able to reach out with her
hand and hold toys shown to her with her right hand when lying on her tummy with a little stimulus but once
held she plays with it and mouths it for a while and sometimes transfers it her left hand. She has difficulty to
lie on her tummy by herself but when placed on her tummy she is able to lift her head and bears weight on
her right elbow for some time. She coos in play and when happy makes a loud noise. She communicates by
crying when wet, irritated or hungry and is being monitored in the early intervention program. She swallows,
chews and eats well, sleeps through the night and is described as frisky. She does not need oxygen.

Anita has her favorites in caretakers and staff around her. She tends to play more with the older kids and
staff than her peer group because her peers tend to be a little rough and snatch the toys she is playing with.
She loves to talk to herself in her baby language and also to gain attention. She is an adorable darling when
you play and cuddle her. She is a child with a  personality and knows what she wants. If she knows there
are people to do things for her (like hold the feeding bottle which she is capable of doing on her own), she
would rather let herself get pampered. She is  placed in a baby rocking chair to help her socialize.  Anita has
learned to lie on her tummy but not the other way around. When placed prone or if she lies by herself she is
able to hold her head for a while, she is able to weight bear well on her right upper limb with minimal weight
bearing on her left. When placed to sit she loves to take back support on what is present and can maintain
that posture for a while. She can bear weight on her right hand when placed to sit unaided for a bit.

Please let your friends know about Anita and they may contact me
